Art raft for health

Art Raft provides weekly, 90-minute creative sessions for people (18+) to socialise, nurture their wellbeing, and explore their creativity in a supportive environment.

Delivered in 10-week blocks, the small sessions give each participant the space to socialise and explore their own creativity at their own pace, in their own way and making connections with others through creativity and conversation.

Sessions can include drawing, collage, painting, poetry, stories and a range of other creative activities. We end each session with tea, coffee and biscuits.

Each session is facilitated by textile artist Melinda Schwakhofer who is an Arts & Health Practitioner with a deep interest in the positive influence of creativity on emotional health. Melinda has over 15 years of experience in working with groups and individuals using creativity for exploration, self-discovery and fun.

We ask a £10 donation, or sliding scale depending on what you can afford. All materials and refreshments provided. Art Raft sessions are held at Green Hill Arts, Moretonhampstead.

Our upcoming Art Raft dates start from the 23rd January.
