Community Allotment Working Parties

The Community Allotment working parties are restarting after the winter break, and so we invite you to come along and enjoy spring at the allotment. It is a great way to shake off the winter blues!

Get outdoors, meet people, work as a team, share knowledge, cook, share allotment produce, and chat over tea and homemade cake.

All welcome - no experience necessary. Wednesday afternoons. 2:30pm – 4:30pm.

The benefits are very varied but all come within the umbrella of improving mental and physical wellbeing- these include; learning about healthy eating and growing food, learning about low cost cooking, improving self esteem, tackling social isolation, regular physical activity, sense of purpose and feeling part of a team, a chance for a weekly check in with the facilitator, working along-side others, shared learning, social interaction in a supportive environment, connecting with nature. Workshops provide opportunities for people to explore music and art within nature.
