The Moretonhampstead Parish Council and Dartmoor charities Wellmoor and Morecare Moretonhampstead have joined forces in order to establish a public Care Line service as part of the local coordinated response to the Coronavirus emergency.

What is Care Line?

Care Line is a free service for anyone in the area who needs support at this challenging time. It provides practical and emotional support to anyone who needs it by connecting them with support network of local volunteers or just offering a friendly listening ear.

What does is include?        

  • Daily friendly calls

  • Listening to and sharing problems       

  • Providing information about local organisations who are offering useful services    

  • Linking people with nearby volunteers to provide practical help, such as shopping, collection of prescriptions or dog walking

  • Essential transport to health and wellbeing related appointments

WHERE does it OPERATE?

Within the parishes of Moretonhampstead, North Bovey, Manaton, Lustleigh, Bridford and Postbridge. (Note: if you live outside these areas our advisers should be able to point you in the right direction!)

WHEN does it OPERATE? 

Calls will be answered on weekdays between 9.00am - 5.30 pm with a messenging service outside these hours. Emails will be answered ASAP.
