Tech Donation and Refurbishment

We’re working with DonateIT and Fixy to give your unwanted laptops, smartphones, tablets and other smart tech a second life.

The Moretonhampstead Food Club is now an official DonateIT drop off point - this means you can drop off your old technology with us, and we’ll send it on to DonateIT who will refurbish it, securely wipe the data and then rehome it with people in the South West who are in digital poverty or exclusion.

All you have to do is read the below to make sure your device is eligible and prepared, drop it in to us during Food Club at the Moretonhampstead Parish Hall any Thursday morning 9am - 11am, and we’ll do the rest.

When dropping of your old tech, please make sure:

  • Try to include power cables and chargers

  • Unlock devices / disable any unlock methods

  • Disconnect from iCloud, OneDrive or any other cloud services

Click HERE or read on below to find out exactly what smart tech is accepted.
