"FRIENDLY FRIDAY” Hub Leader Vacancy: November 2022 Onwards!

The cost-of-living crisis is going to make this Winter difficult for everyone – but in particular those who are already vulnerable to isolation, loneliness and who are struggling to pay their bills. Wellmoor and Knead to Connect are collaborating with local organisations in Moretonhampstead to run a drop in every Friday with tea, coffee and a free warm lunch. The space will act as a safe place for people to save money by turning off their heating at home, socialise and to get more support if they need it.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and welcoming person to lead the set up and of the Friendly Friday sessions every Friday between 10:30 and 3:30 in Moretonhampstead Community Club.

Role responsibilities and requirements:

· Setting up and clearing the community club with support from volunteers before and after the sessions

· Serving refreshments with the support of volunteers

· Supporting the kitchen team (led by Knead to Connect) to serve lunch

· Collecting monitoring information on attendees and reporting back to Wellmoor

· Supervising and guiding volunteers during the sessions

· Being the key contact for attendees

· Undertaking safeguarding and additional training as necessary

· Gain an understanding of further support services available and feeling confident signposting clients toward them

· Understanding of and sensitive towards the experiences of people struggling with the cost-of-living crisis

Key information:

· £10.75 per hour, 5 hours per week between 18th November and March 31st

· 10 hours of training and supervision time paid at £10.75 per hour to be scheduled at a time convenient to yourself and Wellmoor

· Managed by the Wellmoor team

Deadline for applications is Sunday 6th November. Interviews will be held at Green Hill, Moretonhampstead on Thursday 10th November.
