PROJECT MANAGER VACANCY

Wellmoor, part of the Moretonhampstead Development Trust, aims to empower whole community wellbeing. We do this by working to enable, facilitate, coordinate and connect health & wellbeing initiatives to meet the needs of people living in the area of North-East Dartmoor, specifically Moretonhampstead and the surrounding area.

 

Job Purpose

 

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a small, supportive team working on a growing range of health and wellbeing projects making a real difference to the local community.

 

The postholder will oversee the management of Wellmoor projects alongside the Wellmoor Coordinator. Key activities include oversight of the Wellmoor Community Allotment, as well as coordinating Wellmoor’s weekly Friendly Friday event and our Devon Daytrippers project. The postholder will also be required to contribute to fundraising, including developing and submitting bids. As the role progresses, the postholder will assist on developing new projects which further the aims and objectives of the organisation.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

The role comprises a variety of administrative, coordination and communication functions participating in and supporting a growing range of Wellbeing projects. 

 

·       Ensuring the efficient delivery of Wellmoor projects, including reporting on the project's progress, oversight of budgets and resources, helping to mitigate issues and challenges, coordinating volunteers, scheduling tasks and ensuring deadlines are met

·       monitoring and evaluation of as required, including data input

·       Attending internal and external meetings and events, including scheduling, setting agendas, taking notes, reporting back

·       Managing relationships and responding to enquiries from internal and external stakeholders

·       Updating and maintaining project records and documentation

·       development of marketing and communications materials.

·       Contributing to the development of new projects, including helping to identify, develop and submit funding bids and develop project plans

·       Other tasks and projects as the need arises

Person Specification

 

ESSENTIAL

 

·       Experience coordinating activity and delivering projects and/or events

·       Experience with data gathering and recording

·       A range of external communication skills

·       General ICT proficiency, including Microsoft 365

·       Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage and take responsibility for own workload, handle multiple priorities and to work independently

·       A confident and approachable communicator with the ability to connect and build relationships with people from a range of different backgrounds

·       Experience of working as part of a team with the ability to collaborate

·       Flexibility and adaptability in an often fast-moving work environment

 

DESIRABLE

 

·       Knowledge of, and interest in, community health and wellbeing issues

·       Experience of writing or contributing to funding applications

·       Experience within the charitable sector

·       Good local knowledge

 

Key Information

·       Salary of £22,425 pro rata

·       20 hours per week with possibility of increased hours

·       Normally based in the Wellmoor office at Green Hill but with the option to work part time from home

·       Reporting to the Chair of Wellmoor and working closely with other staff particularly the Wellmoor Coordinator
